Can someone tell me the distance between the water pump pulley and the center bolt of the engine mount? Is it different than a SBC (I assume it is)?

I'm going to be relocating the engine crossmember rearward and moving the core support rearward. My goal is to have at least 8" of the frame hanging in front of the core support. I want to know how close I can mount the radiator to the water pump pulley (electric fans inbetween).

Thanks
-Brian

I'm not at home where I can measure mine but are you going to be using a long or short water pump?

Current plan is to use the TBI 305 out of my 87C10. I think it has a short pump on it but I'm not sure because it's 500 miles away. I just want to make sure I leave enough room for a BBC or a LS1 (wishful thinking).

Here's info I found a few months ago, hope it helps a little:

Big Block
23.63" length from center motor mount hole to front of motor
7.68" height from center motor mount bolt to top of motor
22.96" wide

Small Block
21.78" length from center motor mount hole to front of motor
5.33" height from center motor mount bolt to top of motor
19.68" wide

WOOHOO

That's exactly what I was looking for.

I guess that means I need to leave an extra 2" for a BBC, eh?
