I have a 396 BBC that was just pulled, fixed and reinstalled in order to fix a rear main cap leak. Unfortunately it leaks again... I'm taking it back to the machinist this week for a look. Any ideas here? The main seal is not leaking. It either has to be the cam plug or from the machined surface between the cap and block.
I'm out of $ to fix this problem and really, really need to avoid having to r&r the engine again for milling the caps and line bore.
