Looking for some nice BBC valve covers for my 1989 Crew Cab. They have PCV on the front of the passenger side and the rear of the drivers side. Also, the oil fill is on the front of the drivers side but I would imagine that is a flexible. For some reason these have been hard to find. Everything I find seems to be the mirror image where everything is reversed. Maybe because it's a picture... In any case I am trying to clean up the engine bay and the current valve covers are useable but rough. Looking for something like the factory aluminum version that said 454. Any help is appreciated.

The price seems pretty steep for valve covers. I'm not that in love with this motor, lol.

Otherwise its time to go junkyard'in

454 tagged covers were factory from 92-95.

My 93 wears the exact covers your looking for.
If your not in love with that phat block, box it up and send it to me, i'll love it long time.

Seems like square body parts in general have gone that way. It probably is best to just get this. They do come with the hardware, grommets, and fill cap which is nice. I'm going to see what this post turns up for a little while and go from there. Thanks for the help.

Watch ebay. They pop up on there from time to time.
I didn't see any just now but I didn't look that hard either.

Bbc stuff exceeds square body stuff. Its muscle car market.

dont forget the factory aluminum covers are setup for FLAT machined heads and the cover has a grove to use the newer style gaskets .

this might cause you some problems sealing the covers to the older heads with a cast surface and being just a bit wider than the grove in the covers could sever the gasket for leaks much faster .

just noting this for others who might not know it .

Thanks for the info. They say they are for 1965 to 1995 engines.
