BBC vs. SBC TBI Air Cleaners

I've been running an SBC TBI style air cleaner but recently picked up a BBC style up off EBay. The housing and air filter are the same, however the air inlet size is nearly double the area. '87 vintage. I'll post up some pics later.

Q: anyone come across this?
