BDS shocks

For those who replied to my "lift advice" and were asking about when I said BDS shocks, I meant BDS shocks. As I have been talking to Renee at BDS I was asking what shocks they liked. and he said theres. As it turned out BDS had just completeed there own line of shocks and had sent out the info to there distributors last thursday I believe. He said they will be available in about 2 weeks and the shops dont have the info yet so dont call and ask for prices cause the shops wont know yet. I will let you know when they are out as I will most likley be getting them. They are supposed to be valved and built for your vehicle. They sound really good from what Renee has been telling me so I'll give them a shot. If you would like to know more about them I am sure that Renee at BDS would be more than happy to talk with you. The guys at BDS are very helpful.

I would like to know what you think about the BDS shocks and how they ride. I plan on getting a BDS lift but the price I was quoated was with Rancho RS5000 shocks, and everyone I know that had them did not like them. They said they were to stiff.

Yes I'd love to hear the results... although will have to see what the shop I'm ordering from is doing. They currently swear by Trailmasters. Wayne... Rancho 5000's aren't the greatestest.... spend a little extra for the 9000's. I'm still pondering on the 9000's because no one has really given me any info on the trailmaster shocks

I plan on going to the 9000's when I get the extra time and money to do the custom shock mounts and then get 9012's. Wright now I just want to get the lift and rears swapped and work out any bugs with it then I will start on more things.

That means my next set of shocks are either going to be Bilstein 5100's or BDS shocks!

If someone is looking for shocks, I highly recommend the Edelbrock IAS Shocks. I <font color=red>LOVE</font color=red> mine. They are great on and off-road. You can really feel how they soften a bit when off-roading and tighten in high-speed curves. You don't need remotes or anything, they adjust perfectly to the road you're driving.

They have very specific models, like Blazer, lifted Blazer, Suburban, lifted suburban, 3/4 ton suburban, etc. Seems like they did their homework very well on setting the softness for each specific model.

As I said, I highly recommend them.

Ah now that makes sense! I was thinking BDS didn't make shocks when I asked about the Black Diamond...be sure like you said to let us know. I am curious to hear how they work. I was going with the 9000's when I replace mine but if these turn out to be good then they'll be another one I will consider too!
