I always assumed I would get a Offroad Design unit but this new truck I bought, came with a BDS weld on kit (uninstalled). Does anyone have experience with it? Is it good enough to install or should I pick up an Offroad Design bolt on kit.

The ORD bolt-on is essentially the same as at least one other brand, as they're made by the same people. I forget whether ORD makes them for the other guys or vice versa.

I've always put bolt-on's into my trucks before the frames cracked. If the frame is cracked now, the weld on would be a good idea, PLUS a bolt-on, imho ...

Mine let go today. I suspect it had been building up for a while. I ordered the weld on brace and did a fill in the cracks weld job and added a gusset in the hollow between the box and frame. Should hold up until the brace get's here.

I strongly recomend useing the weld on and the bolt on. After my frame broke the first time I put the weld on kit in, the frame still cracked so I put the ORD bolt on brace and good so far.
