i installed my super swampers onto my allied beadlocks tonight and the lock ring does not sit against the the other side. There is about a 1/8" gap. Is this normal. I torqued the bolts to 12ft lbs like the direction says. I saw somewhere on YouTube that said the bead on a super swamper is thicker than other brands. So my question is should I have some kind of spacer or is it ok to run as is? It doesn't leak any air at the moment. The beadlocks are allied "rock a thon"

Yep

Most diy kits are the same it's no biggie.

Although itsxa good idea to torque the bolts a couple times

My buddies swampers on DIY beadlocks look exactly like that..unless you have an anti-coning ring then I cant imagine you could smash any bead down enough to get the 2 sides to meet without bending the outer ring or stripping bolts

As long as the gap is somewhat the same all the way around your good. The only other thing I did with mine was to put some antiseize on them. I just replaced all my bolts since they have been on there for 8 years and never been removed....It was a pain to remove them, ended up having nutserting six of them. Never could have done it out on the trail. Going to start making removing them a yearly thing just to clean and relube or replace the bolts.

Ok thanks. I thought so but just needed some expert advice. I will put anti-seize on the bolts when I do the rear. I also need to get some of the airsoft BB's so the tires will hopefully balance.

My buddies allied beadlocks on iroks looked the exact same. His never leaked or slipped.
