Beadlock Wheels

Looking to buy some new beadlock wheels, I have two sets of Beadlock wheels now but both are 16.5’s. I’ll be buying some new tires at some point and figure I should probably update to 17’s for more tire choices. One set I have are DIY beadlocks that work great and the other are USA 6x6 Double beadlocks. I want to stick with steel wheels since I’m pretty hard on them. In the last year I’ve messed up 7 wheels between two different vehicles. I really want black steel wheels with an aluminum rock ring. I swear Trail Ready use to sell them. I haven’t had any luck finding what I want. New or used would be ok. Anybody have any suggestions?

Trailready had 15” steel wheels with aluminum rims (I have a set) but I don’t remember ever seeing 17’s like that.

I had a set of the steel 15’s a long time ago with aluminum rock rings that’s why I was hoping they made them in 17’s. I was starting to think I was loosing my mind that maybe they weren’t Trail Ready’s.

These are 17" but don't have the fancy ring.
I'd bet someone could make a beefier ring..
Pretty decent price on summit.

Looks like this might be what @shady posted, steel beadlocks from battle born wheels. They may offer an aluminum ring option but would have to call them.

I just mounted 42's on the Battleborn Gatekeeper wheels. Through the process I found out the Raceline or Allied's are basically the same wheel. Also FYI-Interco tires have a thicker bead (over 0.75") so they usually need bead spacers.

Yes, I found this to be true with my Boggers and had to order spacers from TR. I've read it's not across the board for all Interco tires but I've also never seen a specific list of thick vs thin tires.

A modern TrailReady HD17 is a super tough wheel, I wouldn't worry about durability at all. They're one example of a bunch of HD fancy cast wheels from a handful of companies. The stuff we've smoked on the TR wheels and other brands in race cars makes me say you basically aren't going to hurt one of them recreational wheeling. In fact, I'd say that if a steel wheel had any sort of durability advantage, you'd see them on race trucks instead of similar weight (or maybe heavier) aluminum wheels.

Maybe that'll let you broaden your search since steelies aren't as common anymore.

Ok I'm thinking about putting beadlock on too. So if this a offroad vehicle then try a hummer rims and wheels. Then is both then they make a beadlock that you get on Hutchinson they make rims.

So the Hutchinson rims are the beadlocks. The picture I sent you where first multiple pictures was what they look like. The hummer ones are nice too. But you can't just buy them at the store.

I'm very familiar with Hutchison and H1 wheels (which are made by Hutchison), I was referring to the fact the wording in your post doesn't make sense (it seemed jumbled). As far as buying H1's, used wheels are plentiful on the internet, FB Marketplace, military surplus, etc.

Or, you can just get your favorite rims, add Coyote beadlocks and save a bunch of dough$$$$ and have both beads locked to the rim and be able run with zero PSI. Plus, you get your pretty rims .

I wasnt familiar with the coyote beadlocks, but now i think i need them. Very slick and can serve as a “runflat” to a degree, in that you can still move the vehicle with a puncture (assuming inner tube isnt punctured). I think i can justify that as a “safety feature”. Certainly safer than a tire without them.
