So i recently got myself some 42x15x16.5 tsl super swampers for 175 bucks and i gave him my 39.5s, the tires have almost 90% tread, question is what are my options for beadlocks? what are the best kind and what are the cheapest kind?:dunno:

dont waste money on anthing other than the h1's. A single beadlock with 16.5s isnt going to be what you want it to be.

trailworthyfab.com

How much does it cost to re-center the h1s? and who would do it? oh and where the hell would i get h1s? i know its kinda of a noobish questions

trailworthyfab.com is your one stop shop for h1s. very fair prices IMO. maybe somebody in the local wheelin clubs have some.

About $450 gets you some inner air locks, thats what I just installed and I love em so far. Haven't been offroad to much yet though. Mostly field driving to get it tuned.

Ya just checked out trailworthy, seems like a damn good deal, but you need these pvc inserts? so im looking at about 400 bucks for 4 wheels and inserts, plus i gotta re center them myself right?

not if you order custom ones. its about 50 more a corner i think but they recenter them to your backspace that you need

mag run flats and sawsall cut the main parts off and bam insert thats cheeper and easy to install compared to pvc inserts.

Best option a double beadlock, why cause 16.5s need it. Second best option don't spend any money on your rims run 12 psi all the time and get 17s when your tires wear out :D

A 16.5 inner bead comes of alot easier than say a 15 or 17 does. The reason beadlock kits became so popular is because on a 15,16,17" rim the inner bead rarely comes off. Not so rare on a 16.5. The only reason you see guys running 16.5s is because they have H1s or want H1s.

Of course on Kerts site he has some info on welding a peice of solid rod on a 16.5" rim to act as a safety bead so you could do that to the inside of the rim and then get a weld on kit

So best is probably recentered H1s cheapest is probably weld on kit on one side and your own little safety bead on the other

what main part do you cut off the mag run flat? cut off the ribbed main parts so all your left is with the inner ring?

H1s bend really easy... You'll need rock rings or do the re-bar upgrade...

I have buddies running 16.5 welded beadlocks with 42 Iroks and have never popped the inner bead... You can also weld a couple of beads on the inside of the rim to help hold the inner on...

what psi do they run? been debating just making up some rings since i have access to the material and a plasma on a circle cutter. Im thinkin weld the small bar stock on the inner for a bead, then with the locks they gotta be pretty set
