I'm probably the only on here can can seemingly take a perfectly running car and make it not run....

I don't know. I didn't check, after I splashed some gas down the carb after it wouldn't fire, so I checked a plug. Nothing. Pissed off. I then turned off the lights and headed for the house.
You're not alone...I'm probably the only on here can can seemingly take a perfectly running car and make it not run....
Must be a 67 thing, my El Camino with its POS Mallory Unilite does the same thing.

This is just a stock hei.
If you scroll back to the video I posted it was popping a little through the exhaust.
It needs a basic tune up. New plugs, wires, cap, etc. etc. I'm not sure it had a tune up since the engine was built in the late 90s
I had planned on it when the EFI goes on.

I sat in the car last night and made vroom vroom noises.
Actually, I did work on it. Due to the manual steering box, the steering wheel is still a larger one. (I don't know the forkin' diameter) but i get in it and I hit the side of my hip. And the bottom of the wheel wants to pull my knife clip off, sticking out of my front right pocket. A tilt column would take care of it, but I wanted to seat to go back further on its track. A little internet search and dropping a card number netted these.

Pulled the seat out last night and shot some flat black on the extenders.
This weekend I'll toss them back together and hopefully not break my knife clip anymore.
If it doesn't work, a tilt coulmn is probably coming.

I know with the bench in my 67 it’s a tight squeeze for my skinny tall ass to get in. Seems you have to scrunch your body up just to look cool and not have your head hit the roof

I'm tall. 6-2 or 6-3 depending on who can see to the top of my head. If I was shorter i'm sure I would be fine.Those look pretty cool.

I got a brand new cap/rotor somewhere in my mess.
Was going to find them and toss them on. It was popping pretty good when it was running. So I'm thinking some basic maintenance that it hasn't had will fix it.
