Anyone know where or if i could get a bearing kit for a 250 transfer?? Well it's for a friend of mine and he says whenever he puts it in 4hi it grinds something awful. Doesn't do it in any other gear.

If it's not that is there a rebuild kit for one and how hard is it to rebuild.

86?? model chevy with a 465/205 i believe.

Thanks ;)

the 205 is ridiculously easy. i did it!
and i think ORD carries all you need.
if not theres that one site that has all the 205 stuff you could ever imagine, i cant think of it right now though.

205s are rediculously easy to rebuild. It can be done in a day, or a weekend if you take your time.

You will need a serious pair of snap ring pliers to rebuild a 205, I got mine from Snap-On and they're called GM transmission snap ring pliers.

Well i won't be doing it my friend is but thanks for the input. I got me a good set actually. Got a set of them for Christmas
