bearing ?

pulled the moter out of my 73 so i could rebuild it and there were no bearings or bushings on the trans(sm465) other than the throw out bearing should there be others?

There should be a pilot bearing or bushing in the end of the crankshaft that the input shaft of the tranny rides on.

is it brass and were do i get 1

The input shaft has a four bolt bearing retainer, I'd make sure and re-seal that while your at it.

I can't remember if mine came with the clutch kit or not, but you should be able to go to any parts house and get one for about $5.

And if it's a bushing, it should be bronze.
