i guess i just can't help myself, i already have a 89 crew cab and a 91 blazer i sold my all original 91 suburban couple months ago, but i find myself looking back on craigslist and what do i find but a 90 suburban that has terrible paint and looks like hell but what the heck it can't hurt to take a look :)
thing is dirty as hell, interior other than the dash and sun visors in great shape. big ass ramsey winch bumper and the old school go rhino front axle truss. Nice and straight body with zero rust, and for some reason i just love the looks of it, i'm not even going to paint it, just clean it up and enjoy. 00w0w_3Ilh6dWlPCU_1200x900.jpg00t0t_5xjh56IlEhn_1200x900.jpg00h0h_ceZHfIZaWOS_1200x900.jpg

Dig it

Almost looks like the front axle is pushed forward a bit. I like it.

Nice rig, lift the ass another 2" and do a cheapy two-tone on the top half to cover up the sun damaged paint and that would be a mint rig there. I need one like that for all my little peoples.

4wd 'burbs always sag in the ass stock...I like the way my 2wd sits (stock).

How much did you have to give for it? I like it as-is as well. Great stance. A$$ could come up an inch or two though.
$3800 it has a blown head gasket, so i need to decide if its better to just drop a crate motor in it, just replace the gasket or do a 6.0 / 8.1
since i'm in California i need it to be smog legal, its a 1990 so has fuel injection so trying to do some research on building a 350 and still stay legal
if i go the 6.0/ 8.1 it will probably cost me $10k so not really wanting to go that route.
have thought about swapping the 350 from my 91 blazer and then putting the 6.0 in the blazer

Just looking at west coast engines website, i'm thinking a 383 would be sweet in this if it can pass smog

My K5 is going to need a new engine pretty soon. There's a guy on eBay doing nicely built 383s for about $3000, and I'll probably go that route since he is in the Houston area and I could go pick it up. I want to say he claims 425HP out of them while being reliable and easy to drive. If I can find the listing I'll post it for you. Not sure if that would stay legal for you out there in Ca though. I just couldn't justify spending $10K on a 6.0/8.1. The 383 will be plenty and a fraction of the cost.
