becoming more involved

Can someone point me in the right directions to become more involved in land use issues? I want to specifically concentrate on the CO area and around here but anything I can do nationwide would be great also. I have written some letters in the past but I really want to become more involved. Thanks!

For local I would look into clubs and see what they are doing, then follow up. I did this years ago and found a club doing some work but not many people had time to volenteer. Over the next few years we got many more miles of trials and have one on one relations and monthly meetings with Forest Service and BLM. this at a time when trials were being shut down every where else.
