Bed liner in interior... Which is best.

I know some guys have bedlined their floor and such.
Is there any certain one to avoid because it stinks all the time, or anything like that?
I've read something somewhere, I thought here, where certain ones keep stinking, and some it goes away.
My buddy and me were both debating doing some interior coating with it.

Don't know about best, but I used Dupli Color's Bedliner inside a K5 and would do it again.

On this one, the PO was kind enough to enough to Line X the inside (along with the outside lol). It's held up to a lot of abuse, if I had extra coin I'd consider it for the interior on other projects.

I did Herculiner roll on in an XJ, I did not put any floor mats or liner over it and even doing several coats on the driver floor, it wore off from driving it.
 
I used Raptor liner on the inside of my tub. It's holding up great so far. No top coating or carpet over it.

Put it on over fresh/scuffed primer. From what I can tell, it adhered very well. Used the same stuff in the box of my 86 and it's peeling up quite a bit. That one was only scuffed and wiped down real quick before spraying, and it's been sitting outside for the last couple years. Interior won't see much UV, but proper prep is important.
 
Were debating using it on the ceiling of my burb and my buddies van.
Biggest part I'm worried about is the heat on the roof all the time.
It hasn't caused any issues with the sound deadening mats, but I haven't dealt with bedliner ever.
 
Couple things:

I bought a truck that had herculiner on the floors, every time the floors got hot you could smell it and it got soft.

Rust will form under bedliner and you wont see it until its too late and half the floor is gone.
 
I'm starting to lean against it.
I think I'll have to look at other alternatives :thinking:

Awesome, I will be using the raptor liner I coated my cap with, looks great.

I don't have any problems with keeping mine clean. It doesn't see mud, but it gets its fair share of sand. A quick sweep and vacuum and it looks good enough. Or hit it with the leaf blower.


If you are planning on going on the ceiling with it, I'd do something like LizardSkin. I've got both the heat and sound control on the underside of my tub and the cab of my 86. Zero issues in either application.

Why do you want a bedliner in your K5? Also everthing where's off! I'm not going to that because I want the sound deadening and heat insulting by lizard skin. Then I'm going with rubber mats that cover everything and with floor mats to be where your feet would be too.
 
It's for the ceiling.
And lizard skin is expensive lol.
Was looking for a cheap way to get a tad bit of deadening, make it black, and give it a texture all at once.

Right now I have a bunch of deadening mat in my ceiling, but it's all silver.
And my buddy wants to do his van, which has nothing at the moment.
So he was going to buy a bunch and do both of ours, if I did his van for him.

I'm already leaning towards doing something else with mine.
His we still might. Not sure yet.

You can use the air duct that use for AC installation!
 
I did Rhino inside mine, floor and bed sides. No isses with smell. Sun faded it, that’s no issue inside a van.
 
Raptorliner in black my entire floor. Then kilmat over top in the front passenger area. No issues with smell in the summer heat or on the trails in Moab at 100+.

It did need to cure for a long time before it quit smelling when I initially put it in. Just FYI.
