When my 85 step side came from the factory was the bed bolted directly to the frame, or where there some type of bushing there?

Also is it ok to have just the 3" body lift blocks I got between the bed and the frame?

yes the beds were bolted directly to the frame. as for the blocks they work but if you put a lot of weight and I mean A LOT(more then is legal) then it would help to have some support under the other crossmembers that are built into the bottom of your bed were it intersects with the frame.

The biggest thing I've hauled is a bed full of mulch. And that was with the PO's hockey puck body lift that only has 4/8 bed mounts in there. :eek1:

Thanks for the help!! :D
