beefy bumper?

I bought and installed the same bumper on my K5. One thing you must do in this bumper is to reinforced the wing by making sure you reused the wing brackets from your old bumber and get a set of wing plate thick enough to support it. I am talking about the plates that goes on top of the wings. The original plates that comes with the bumper are thin. I had mine made from 1/4 thick plate. It worked good for me, infact a couple of weekends ago I hit thick wall of MUD, front bumper first. The truck went into a suddent halt hitting the mud going down hill about 5 miles per hour. I though for sure my bumper is either vent or dented, to my surprise, after pulling my self out of the mud, nothing was damage just small scrathes.
