Beefy Tie-Rods

Does Rockstomper still make beefy tie-rods for D60's. I looked on there website and don't see them anymore. If they don't, who does? Also looking for tie-rod ends and stablizers brackets for said rods....

I got mine from rockstomper... not sure they make them anymore. I recommend either WFO concepts or blackwidowperformance.com for all your tierod/draglink needs.

We build both. Our tie rods are made from 1.5 inch .375" wall dom tubing that is drilled and tapped. Give us a call we keep them in stock as well as Tie rod ends built by MOOG.
 
The real question is if anyone makes them for the "Real 1-ton TRE's". When most people say GM 1-ton TRE's they are really talking about the 1/2-3/4-ton 7/8"-18 thread TRE's. 1-tons came with 1"-18 TRE's. Sky used to sell tierods and TRE's for the 1-ton stuff but he said he didn't have a consistant supply of the left hand thread TRE.

Part #'s for "Real 1-ton TRE's":
ES2011R, 1ton GM, 1" shank 4 inch long one (77-91 K30 obviously)
ES2064L Left hand Ford 1" shank, 4.75 long (77-79 F250?)

Sky will still make you the tierod for the 1" stuff but you will have to find your own TRE's. I think this is the better way to go anyways because you can return them easier.

Are those MOOG part numbers, NAPA part numbers, ....?????
 
West Texas Off Road builds THE BEST, HELLA stout tie rods I have ever seen. And yes, Matt can build them with 1"x18 TRE's.

Cant remember the guys name, but he built a set for a guy that actually ran into a tree stump at about 30 mph, but it was only tall enough to hit the tie rod. Tie deflected back into the ring gear, breaking it, but after he pulled off the tie rod, the 1.5" solid chromo had not delfected any!

My roomate has them on his K5, I can get him to snap some pics today and post them up.

I can tell you rockstomper does not make the tierods or draglinks any more, I called last month and they said they were not making them any more. So you can count them out. Just a little info for ya.

I bought a heavy-duty tie rod set up from Sky, and there was a problem with getting a correct left hand threaded 1" tie rod end. The first one they sent me had the correct part number, but had an incorrect tapered end (for some reason). The second one they sent me was correct, but they had a hell of a time finding it because the part number ES2064L had been recently discontinued. I think Sky had to have a supplier do a stock search, and found an old one sitting on a shelf in some other state. Sky had it over nighted to them, so they could get it to me in a reasonable time manner. Sky actually lost money on the deal, or barley broke even, but that is Sky Manufacturing for you "they stand behind every sale they make."

I do not know if anybody else can find an ES2064L, but every parts store (NAPA, Carquest, Checkers, Autozone) I have been to in town has said they have been discontinued. I do not know what I am going to do when the day my left side TRE wears out.
 
autozone.com has the ES2064L tierod for $32, but it does not look like many stores carry that part.

I can make some up for you guys. All parts just like above. Hiems or TRE.
1 1/2" tube . We have great pricing too. This is not part of 4wparts
