what brand of helmut is that?
I used a autodarken helmut at school today... damn! It makes life 100% easier /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Does it wreck the camera when you take pictures/video of welding? I wanted to try, but I dont want to wreck the camera /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Its one of the cheapie $35 autotinting helmets, as far as the camera I dont know, I've taken video and pictures of welding with it and it seems ok. I have noticed a couple pixels that dont take anymore but I think thats just because companies are using cheaper parts /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Anyhow you can;t tell from the pics unless they are fullsize and you zoom in on a specific area /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif
 
I just watched the video frame by frame in reverse (YES I"M REALLY BORED) but it is actually pretty funny /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

Your right its not $35 /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

But it works well, It not a solar mask but I just keep new batteries put in every couple months. I only weld a few time a month also unless I'm on a building spree.
