Been a looong time!

Been awhile since I visited here. Just figured I'd drop in, say hi and update ya'all. I've been considering re-enlisting in the Army after 4 years active duty from '97-'01. It is official as of yesterday. I leave for Ft. Lee, Virginia for ait on the 28th of this month. Spend almost 12 weeks there...who knows after that. Signed up for 6 more years active duty, kept my old rank- E-4. $35k bonus. I wanted a bunch of jobs that required secret clearance, but the bankruptcy killed my chances for any clearance. So I ended up a Petroleum Supply Specialist. Most likely end up driving a fuel tanker truck, but could be anything petroleum related. It was a "critical shortage" job with a good bonus. Could go anywhere after ait- I forsee myself driving a fuel truck in Iraq in the near future to tell the truth. Good news is, if I don't get blown up or booted out for doing something stupid, I retire at age 47.


Maybe I'll spend some of that bonus on one of these-
