Ok so i sold my last Jimmy about 3 years ago to buy a camaro. I am now looking to get back into a K-5. I want a 73-75 with a full top convertable, but i live in the rust belt, and they are rare up here. If i did get one i would also want to put the 89-91 nose on it with the Dual side by side head lights, newer hood and fenders. This truck is going to be a summer time only mall crawler, and probably just be sporting a bikini top if any top at all, and i have a garage to park it in. So my idea is to just get a 1989-1991 K-5 and lop the top off it and make it into a full top conv. Any one against this? seems like a good idea to me, and i figure if i cut it right i can get a top from a 73-75 and put it on if i really need to.
