restore my 80 gmc to stock but with 2.5 to 4 inch lift. and paint it nice then when im better with money again, get a buggy or something like that? im beginning to think i need a k5 for off roading, something short wheel base. i got a 80 gmc thats a long wheel base. i started thinking that after i went to a old car show... been thinkin abt buying a 57 body to put on my frame.. and lower it to like 2.5 to 4 inch lift, and ride it around in style.. theres one for sale for like 600 dollars near here with no frame, just the shell n everything. maybe i should do it.. not sure.. need everyones help..

or find a 68-72 body. need help makin my mind. my lady say go with the old body style and restore it nice. Then get a blazer or something in the future. within 3 yrs. cause thats when all our bills will be paid and out of debt. got the 71 box in line. just need a good cab.. i think fender i have. my friend is scrapping the 71 since the cab is sooo rottened out but the box is good. he say i can have the whole truck for 100 minus engine and trans. im thinkin abt going this route. im stumped..

this is my truck..

yeah.. maybe i should just keep the 80 body on it but find a new cab.. and lower it to 4.. i think 6 is high, im getting old:doah: plus my cab is rottened out, box is full of bondo n fiberglass.. pics dont do justice.. ill have to drive south n find a truck to use on my frame... i think i rather drag race again, cruise around. dunno. its going on the road in oct. and fix all the bugs out while driving it.

i wheel a longbed and its ot that bad.you dont need a short wheelbase to wheel...besides you can always build a buggy out of your truck and shorten your wheelbase.
