I plan on installing a solid square tube front cross member to cap the front of my frame off just like I did to the back. Aside from the stock bumper mounting points is there any structural reason that the frame has the angled cut to it? Can I put my crossmember in and cut the frame flush to it? Just wanted to be sure.

You do know that Kert makes a front end frame replacement, complete with b52's and body mount flanges. I think it's called the A-bomb

I know but I'm broke... I finally payed all my bills off and then got a crappy pay check from being sick. Which means really nice stuff is out of the question.

I'd imagine it's for bumper clearance

O yeah plus its my dd and I dont wanna run 52's.
You don't have to run 52's on the A-bomb. You can use stock length springs and trim the widths of the bushings to fit the narrower width on the A-bomb.

You can get it without spring mounts, that would be easier

It's still like 200 bucks I think VS a 10 dollar piece of steel like he wants to do.
