Before putting your new door panels on...

Should you put anything else first? I remember when I took the door panels off for the first time there was some poly and cardboard.. does this really help much?

What did you put?

Think I'm going to put heavy black poly, since I have some kicking around. Not sure how I'm going to fasten it yet. Maybe 2 sided tape or duct tape

the plastic is a lame attemp at a moisture/water barrier. I've used 3M spray trim adhesive to hold them on.

Also used this white paper cloth stuff to keep the wires quiet. Handyman's secret weapon to hold in place.

What I found it helped with was to keep the cold outside air from breezing in past the inside door handle...
