STRONG BOX KITS: At this time, we have kits for full size Ford transmissions, full size Chevy transmissions, S10/Blazer transmissions, and Ranger/Explorer transmissions; using BW1356, BW1354, NP271, and NP231/241 planetary gears, including their electric shift versions. Jeep kits are also available using the NP231/241 planetary gears.
Our ultimate goal is to offer kits that will work with the planetary gears that are readily available to you; saving you time and money otherwise spent looking for that one manual shift case that might work with other kits.

STRONG BOX FEATURES: •~2.4:1 - ~2.7:1 Low range multiplier (ratio varies slightly depending on which planetary set you use as a donor)
•Low profile design minimizes / eliminates fitment issues with floorboards, exhaust, front driveshaft, shifters, etc...
•72 position, 360º clockability in 5º increments
•New 4340 chromo output shaft thru hardened
•6061 billet aluminum housings precision machined
•Fill plug, drain plug, vent, and particle magnet
•Cable shifter available
•Easy installation: No machining, or welding required
•Adjustable shift detent pressure
•Clocking options for shift mechanism
All of our Strong Box kits use durable planetary gears with 2.4:1 - 2.7:1 low range gearing. We can use planetary gears from electric shift transfer cases that you otherwise may be throwing in the junk pile.
These kits are designed to be compatable with many different transfer cases, including the NP 205 transfer case, and allow use of the original NP 205 shift rails with little to no modification, even with most "twin stick" conversions.

The Strong Box is 7.95" diameter, and will range from 7" long to 8.25" long, depending on the choice of planetary gears used.
If you ever need to clock the trasfer case in a different position, you remove 6 bolts, rotate the transfer case to the desired alignment, replace 6 bolts. No need to drain, or scrape RTV, due to it's completely sealed design.

What transfer cases can be bolted to the back of the Strong Box?

We have versions that are compatable with the following:
•Virtually any 6 bolt pattern transfer case.
•Figure 8 NP205 (with the proper input shaft; we have several available)
•5 bolt pattern mini-truck (S-10, Ranger, Explorer)
• A divorced version of the Strong Box will be available soon!

This is so freakin cool! Wish I found this years ago when I bought a doubler kit. Wonder how much $$$ I could get for my 203 range box and doubler adapter???

I saw you made an adapter. It's good that you can so someone isn't forced to buy an adapter, too, since they're another $100+.

Does this require the short 32 spline input for the 205?

Warranty on the intermediate shaft?

Can I run the range box in low and the rear case in Hi?

Quote for 98277 with cable shifter. I have a 2.7 planetary set.

Requires short 32 or 31 spline input to work with 205. We can sell you either and take long 32 in toward trade.
Run in whatever gear you want. Limited lifetime warranty on shaft.

Do you want a DIY or complete?

DIY is the empty housing with the output shaft.
You would install gears from a 241.
The complete kit we do it all for you.
Gears are about $200
Assembly is $100

Well I have access to another 241 so I dont have to cut my Pass drop one up.

What does installing new planetaries entail?

Will you install my planetary set for the assembly charge?

If so I need a quote for the DIY behind a TH400 and bolted to a round 205.

Whats the charge if I send you the long 32 spline input and buy the short from you?

What shifter options are available? Just for the Behemoth or do you offer twin stick shifters for the 205 as well.

We can definitely install your gears. You can send us your complete case or just the front half with gears in it, if you dont want to pull the ring gear.

$699 for the DIY kit
$100 for assembly.
$55 - 48 states shipping for a complete kit.

We have cable shifters for the Strong Box and 205. We also have a linkage shifter for the Strong Box that is cheaper ($35 introductory).
Cable shifter is $120 per " stick"
Brackets are $25 per stick
Boot are also available.

Uh-oh. His website is down now and he's not returning voicemail or email. Jacob??

Interesting.....I just got one from him about a month ago...it did take twice as long as it was supposed to....but in the end I did get it, the quality is top notch and it works great. I beat the crap out of it last weekend and now wonder how I ever lived with out double low :D

He did have a note on the old page about updating it soon...not saying that is or isn't what's happening now....but maybe.

I have a good friend who had to wait a year to get his. I love behemoths stuff but would never buy from them

I still might go Behemoth after this next deployment, but I live less than 2 hours from the guy....I can go visit him personally if it became an issue.
