I've been pondering crossover for my truck and I'm gunna have it down over Christmas. I have done some searching both here and on Pirate for this but nothing substantial came of it really... Has anyone done or dose anyone have pics of a high crossover w the draglink in front of the axle and a tie rod behind the axle? Thanks.

I have built 3 Dana 60 fronts with the drag link in front and tie rod in back. I made all the parts. They are still all working great after about 6 years. On the passenger side knuckle I welded the arm on and added a gusset. The arms were 1" thick and I took 1" out of the factory top cap.

Nice, I happy to hear there has been sucess with this. I'd really like to see some pics and front suspention specs ( springs, spring length, how much lift ) What I'm thinkin is to use a combination of something like what Rockstomper has to offer, maybe 1 offset double ended high steer arm and 1 single ended offset arm...http://www.rockstomper.com/catalog/steering/highsteer.htm

Feedback, pics, and anything else to contribute is welcome. Anybody make a double sheer double ended D60 arm?

We don't do our high steer behind the axle simply because generically you'll run into too many clearance problems: tie rod hitting the springs, pinion, oil pan etc.

That's our reasoning, there's nothing wrong with doing it that way if you can fit it.

Thanks Chris, I bet thats a popular hitch in designing the components or a kit of some sorts. I poked around a little further and found this http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=472413&highlight=high+steer+arms
for reference, def not to buy at that price and like w every build you'd have to make it work... I'm just looking at ideas at this point for my saggy W'd 3.5" of lift...

I just realized that thread was ooollllddddd....
