Bell housing bolt size

I use this cast bell, was factory on my 350/SM465 and bolted right up to my '74 454 :saweet:
A bit dirty and I use a newer High Tq starter, it's GM but I can't recall the year, they are a smaller starter with a higher Tq rating :waytogo:

Do you remember the diameter of the flywheel used? I think it would make a difference on starter style

Shoot...hmmm.... Hays ... ok just looked on Summit (I bought most my engine stuff from them in 2004&5)
I think I have this one:
Hays Billet Steel Flywheels 10-235
Flywheel, Steel, 168-Tooth, 30 lb., External Engine Balance, Chevy, Big Block, 454, Each

Thanks for that Burt, helps me short out my memory. So the big cast iron bell housing originally came on 60's and early 70's trucks with manual trans, has 14.13" flywheel.
The Aluminum bell housing they came on cars and later trucks uses 12.008" fly wheel.
Iirc you cannot put the aluminum bell housing on the 14.13" flywheel, but the cast iron bell housing will fit either fly wheel.
So the fly wheel does dictate the starter style needed.
