I'm kinda curious as to where my rig is sitting right now so, if any of you guys would be so kind, could you measure from the ground to the bottom of the frame rail in the middle of the truck (you know, the belly ;))

Oh yeah, its got to be a 1/2 or 3/4 ton, the 1 tons have taller frames that hang down further.

Make sure to post up your tire size and estimated lift height. TIA :D

22 1/4" at the frame below the B - pillar

33" tires
4" TC fronts
shackle flip rear
zero rates all around.

You've got to post up where you're at.

Are you measuring the cross member or outside frame rail? I measured to the bottom of the frame rail.

Bottom of the frame rail. I'm thinking its pretty close to stock suspension height, which based on your measurement sounds about right.

Thanks for posting your measurement :thumb:

Depends on how much I ate and drank. Do I measure from the center of the belly button or the bottom of the fold?

I went back and looked at the posts and its not as far spread as I thought, I must have done some math wrong in my head.

Compared to you fella's measurements my truck would have about this much lift:

1", 1", 1", 2", -1.5"

Keep them coming, its useful information to other people too ;)

mine is 24" under crossmember (lowest part) and that is 2" below frame so 26" to ground from frame. That is with 39.5x15 TLSs on 20 psi and my 52/56 suspension but I built all my crossmembers, hangers, shackles, etc so I have no clue my lift over stock either.

Sounds like ~3" maybe?

Are you sure this is the right question? Why not meaure from the axle tubes to the frame? It still doesn't account for missing body parts or added bumpers/winches, but it least it takes tire size and pressure out of the picture.

I thought there were some old posts listing these distances for stock trucks. Then you can measure "lift" directly.
