i put a motor in my truck and new accel dist. and it worked fine for about a week. but then my motor was missing and running horrible and died if u held the throttle down below 2000rpm so i just had my distributor recurved and the blown vacuum advance cut off, it was done by a really good hot rod shop around here so i know its good. i thought i had a blown power valve possibly so i changed it (same # as stock) and it helped a tiny bit. but i still have the problem. i thought it was accel. pump cam but it does it with consistent throttle position so can someone help me before i go crazy, o ya soon as it gets to 2000rpm its like a switch is hit and runs fine:doah: ive been trying to figure this out for monthes. maybe my ignition module? thanks for any help!

I would try the ignition mudule. Those aftermarket modules are sometimes nothing but trouble. I went thru 2 MSD modules in my Mustang. Put in a stock one and have not had a problem. I try to get AC delco modules for My GM vehicles. They seem to be the best.
