when I turn on the AC or vent (ie blower fan) i get SERIOUS belt squealing, im assuming that this is
a) the pulley needs to be cleaned
b) something needs to be lubed?
c) blowers bearings are dead and it needs to be replaced?
any and all advice appreciated.
thanks all :)
Shane

belt is the likely culprit.. or possibly the AC clutch, both are pretty easy to check out

Does it do it w/ heater? other wise probably belt

nope

its not the belt :/
brand new belt, cleaned the main pulley and the alternator pulley, but theres that 3rd pulley between the two. yep i figure i have to clean that but also what engages when iu hit for say, "vent" on my ac controls when the squeal starts?

is the squeal coming from the engine or the squirrel cage?
If it was an ac belt it would cycle on and off with the ac. It would also do it on defrost.
