belted vs. radials?

ok,my old burb had maxxis creepy crawler 37-12,5-15" on 8" spokes,and was almost scary to drive,the tires was finding it´s on path,sort of,even if I had max tire pressure in them.
now I got another burb,and it will need some bigger tires for sure,I was thinking about cooper stt´s 325-80-16 and mount them on a 10" rim.the maxxis is about 2/3 of the price compared to the stt´s,is it worth the extra $ for the radials,or will the stt´s be just as bad?

radials are better for street use and drive strait on road, youll be giving up some tire flexibility when going off road though

I will use this burb as my DD,so it leans more and more towards radials.hate spending that much money on tires though.
