Bench seat in k5?

Basically i decided today i wonder if i can put a bench seat in the k5. Ive got an 84. I know ive gotta get one that one side folds so people can get in the back.

I thought about doing it a few years ago. I gave up after I saw how much work it would be. Now that I have a welder, it probably wouldn't be too bad. The biggiest obstacle is that the pickups and the burbans have a raised floorpan and the blazers have stands. So if you want the bench, you have to build new seat brackets. I dont know how well the folding ones would work, but I think it would hinder acces to the back.

I got a bench seat out of a 85 p/u had brakets done up to mate to the bucket seat holes and love it sorry no pics at this time

I have a 90ish extended cab chevy 60-40 split bench in my 79 and it works fine

so yall basically just had to make new mounting brackets and it bolts up?

i used the brackets that was on the seat. Had to drill a couple of holes
