Watch for the muzzleflash!
After putting in a 205, the shift throw is so long I can't find a dust cover for the shifter, have any of you guys heated up and bent the shifter to be more straight up an down?

I've had to heat and bend one a little because the throw was longer after adding a body lift.

I have heated and bent them to fit my non-stock applications. Works great. The only issue for you may be if your shifter is chrome. Heating and bending will blue and possibly crack the chrome. If that happens and it concerns you, bead blast it for some texture and paint it black.
