So, a few weeks ago, I spun out and hit a curb beside the road pretty hard and bent my rim. I found a replacement and thought all was good. Yesterday on my way to church, a friend commented that my back wheel was acting funny. I think oh crap, the replacement is bent too
I take it to the tire store this morning and have them swap side to side in the back to see if it's the tire or that hub. Drive off and look in the mirrors to see the same side wobbling
While the wheels were off, I spun the passenger side hub by hand to look at it and sure enough, the mounting flange visibly had an out of round orbit.
Question: I know I need a new axle shaft, do I need to replace the outer bearing as well? and what about the inner carrier bearings? I hope this didn't crack the carrier too. Well, that may be a good thing as I want to swap in a 14 bolt semi-float 6 lug axle in its place, this may be the excuse I need, at the wrong time though.
