So i've put off the frame straightening thing as long as possible. I called a shop that does frame straightening and they were like "yeah, 1.5 hours to set it up, 2.5 hours or more to do the actual straightening."
is frame straightening really such a labor intensive process? 1.5 hours to set it up?
My other question: i had to pry the frame rails apart with my hi-lift jack to get the cross member back in place. is that a good way to leave it? should i unbolt it and drill new holes in the cross member? so it's not under strain?
After the frame is straightened, is it advisable to weld in mending plates over the previously bent areas?
