What are you guys running? I plan on adding a second battery in the future idk if that matters buts it’s time for a new one now.

i don't know about best, but i run delco/remy and they've been great.

i can't find their website, which is not a good thing......

i have the 90-95 serp belt setup and have had this unit in service since 12/08/2008 from when i purchased it . keeps up with all my lights / heater / wipers / full federal signal street hawk ex-cop light bar and snow plowing needs of my truck .

she will do up to 125-AMP at idle and up to 210-AMP all out on the dyno test sheet they gave me .

if your needs are different just look there sale page over for what you need .

If you've been thinking about serpentine, do it now and use the alternator that came in the donor vehicle. That will get you by for now. No regrets going serp and I use a huge factory DR44 alt.

For v belt I went to o'Reilly and asked for a higher amp delco Remy and he found me one from a first generation feul injected Cadillac it was a rebuil with higher amps (125 amp) case was gun drilled for extra cooling and it had a lifetime warranty for and only cost me $99.
That was 16 years ago.
