ruff country lift is cheepest but ride super STIFF and jar your spine out.

tuff country is prob the best bang for your buck.

and try shorty header plugs from acceel company. and as to wires to clean headers ? couldnt tell ya i run headers that dont require this fix as thay fit correctly.

and let me be the first to welcome you to the best 25 bucks for member ship and info site for 73-91 chevy trucks/blazers/suburbans/crewcabs

Most of the reatil outfits will have comparable prices in 4" - 6" lifts. If you are looking to put 33's on it I am guessing it will be mainly used for light trails and nothing too harcore, so most lift "kits" should suit you just fine. I initially purchased a lift through National Tire & Wheel online. If you go through their suspension specials they have good deals with everything you need...streering, brake lines etc.

I learned later that they just price a hundred units at a time from all the major manufacturers and whoever is the cheapest is the kit you get. I happened to get Superlift springs when I orderd my 8" kit. I have heard others get Skyjacker or some other brand. I guess it just depends on what they have in stock when you order.

I eventually changed things up and did some different things in the front and rear for better ride and performance. Most of my rig is a mix and match now with other custom stuff.

Welcom to CK5.

x2 on the tuff country lift

and for plugs I dont really like accel spark plugs, never had good luck with them lasting very long. I run ngk yr5, they are almost as short as the accel header plugs and have lasted much longer.

With the clearance of shorter plugs Ive never had any problem with plug wire fitment with 90 degree boots.

Looking for a decent ride nothing to harsh just going to be a family fun rig ,camping, towing boat etc..itsgot l/s w/3.42 gears heres a couple pics of headers i would like some fit wires for around 80 bucks.i can't spent much more than a grand on lift. all ready got wheels and tires on cl to put on my 85 trooper few months ago never did.thats Tatum my 6yo.man i've spent last two days checkin this site out tons of cool rigs and info here (wifes gettin Po but thats nothing new)

6 yo and already modeling!

You should be able to get a straight axle lift done for under $1,000 easily. Even have enough left over for some other mods. Keep listening to the guys on CK5, there are many many years of experiences, both good and bad, that can save you some money and time on your build.

X2 on the scrap yard save also. Good job.

Defintly on a budget and have no problems with junk yards or 2nd hand .rough country w/6 shocks, springs, drop arm, stablizer, sway drop and hardware 900 to door. ruff is about 13 00 with all that.still looking cl and ads.thanks for help

I'll play the position nobody wants to.

If I just saved a truck from a junkyard, I'd be getting ready to spend some serious money on the engine, trans, axle, Tcase, brakes, and whatever else you worry about when driving. After putting some SERIOUS miles on the truck, then I'd think about a lift.

You'd hate to have it sit because there is no money left to fix the blown head gasket. Might look nice, lifted and all, but that's it.

yup, call Steven up and have him piece a kit together for ya... normally I'd suggest a shackle flip out back, but your springs look whooped, so new might be in order...

your right on K-85 it needs some help but the po said it was blown up and had no power and he had no driven it for 4 yrs.got it home both front calipers locked up,dist corodied and full of rust, half plug wires melted to headers.cleaned dist, new cap rotor,2 new calipers and pads and cheap wires put fresh gas and battery started right up no smoke i have drove it about 350 mi run ok drives nice.the po told me the name of guy who bought it new he owns a local cycle shop told me they put crate motor and new trans at about 110k its got 150k now i think i might have got lucky.lock outs & 4h & 4l seem to work fine no shakes or noises.it does need help though o2 sensor held in with wire, surges at speed, cel comes on after 5 min haven't checked codes.you are right it needs tlc and miles

I have hooker longtubes on my K10, and I havent had any issues with burning plugwires. I have the regular accel plugwires on it for about 5 years now.

new o2 sensor and accel wires, had to buy one straight wire for #5 , drove 75 mi no cel still surges at speed though,i'm going to take advice ,get it running better and dependable than lift.

took running boards off ,put 33 on had to trim inside lip fender on bottom.cut off wheels hurts when it explodes and hits you in the face.made in china crap
