So I’m looking for a good scan tool. Something that has plenty of capability. I really want to keep it around 1k. Most i can spend is is $1500. I run a mechanic shop on the side. I do mostly American gas, but occasionally i work on foreign stuff and diesels. I definitely want it to have all the tests and data for chevy diesels…

I’m looking at the harbor freight zurich zr pro mainly…

I would love to have the autel ms906 pro ts. But it’s 2k. I don’t know if it’s worth splurging and putting some on a credit card…. If it’s that much better i will….

So my options are the regular 906 autel, 906 pro ts, zurich pro, launch x431 v+pro or something similar??

Any recommendations? I have looked for a used snap on, but I prefer to have some kind of a warranty… and nothing is available local…

Well I ended up buying an autel ms906bt. Got it shipped for 1200 from an authorized vender. So I shouldn’t have any problems with warranty or updates.

Just seeing this now. I just bought the Ancel V6 about a month ago. My only complaint so far is the sh!tty instruction manual it came with. But their customer service is decent. I had a problem with getting an update on first turning it on. They linked in remotely and got it fixed within a day or two.

I have used it a few times. Im certainly not a pro-mechanic, but the screens are pretty self explanatory and easy to navigate.
