Who makes the best speakers (cheap) Kenwood, Polk, Cerwin Vega, Pioneer? The Sony speakers looks cheap, so I didn't really think about em'

well, how cheap is "cheap"? of the ones you listed, mmm, i think the kenwoods are the least expensive. Sonys are not bad, they just look all flashy and stuff. They are all decent speakers. Another ok brand (cheaper) to look at is jensen, they are less expensive but not too bad. below that i think you are buying a crappy product.

Bang for your buck is Cerwin Vega. Awesome warranty good design and they make a bunch of different lines to suit your needs. I run all Cerwin Vega in my Blazer

if i was buying speakers on a budget i would without a doubt get memphis. of course i dont know your definition of cheap so that my be more or less than you want to spend.

he who bash other 4x4, look silly when being pulled out by it.

If you want to buy speaker's just once.....get some good name brand ones (like Pioneer). I've seen people take the cheap route, and it never worked for them. Might as well buy them only once. IMHO

I'm thinking of spending $100-$130 for 2 6x9's, then 60 or so for 4x6's. I'm not sure if I need 4x6's yet, I'll see how they sound when I get my new cd player- probably a JVC. I'm thinking Pioneer or Kenwood.

Well first if you want to get NEW speakers cheap get them from ebay. If you didn't already know it speakers the most marked up type of electronics there is. Wholesalers on ebay sell them dutch. I got 2 audiobahn 1200x's (GOOD SUBS) worth $200 each for $78 each. IF i were to rebuy speakers for my system I would run infinity for highs and mid bass. If you have the right box/amp setup for the audiobahns the'll shatter your windows. I have Kenwood 6.5s right now for midbass and they are no better than what i paid for em $70 new. If your gonna go for speakers hold out and get quality you'll really be much happier.

Cerwin Vega would be a realllllllllyyyyy good choice, but if you can't afford them then the Memphis are really awesome too .

I'm gonna have to recommend Cerwin Vega as well. I use them in my car and soon my truck. I haven't done anything to the truck yet for tunes, but I'm putting in the JVC mp3 playing deck ($260), some CV 6.5" seperates ($148 ea) and a pair of CV VEGA series 12" subs ($110 ea). Amp I dunno about yet, prolly a Profile 1200SX (900x1 RMS) for $195.
