replacing radiator with new stock replacement,,wanting to go with electric fan set up,,would rather have dual elec. fan type,,,,just wanting advice on what would work best ???dont want cheap after market type that mount through the rad. core with zip ties,,would prefer something with built in shroud,,,, thanks in advance

I'm using a Volvo fan on mine. Was damn near a direct bolt on, just had to make 2 L shaped brackets to support the bottom, easy. It's a single fan but it's big and moves a lot of air.

Sourced from...

Im running fans from a grand am. Went to salvage yard to get windstar fans and the guy had a set pulled that turned out to be grand am v6 fans.

Has a rectangular shroud that almost completely covers my radiator and I built brackets out of aluminum angle that bolt into the factory fan shroud mounts. Simple and easy and usually one fan will keep it cool.

I prefer using dual fans from other cars like the windstars and grand ams and such for the simple reason that you can get most replacement parts in a local parts store. High end aftermarket fans work great but its gonna be hard to find a replacement motor in a pinch.

thanks for the imput guys,,,i agree on the oem stuff,,guess when i go to salvage yard ill just look for one that will be easy to make fit rather than windstar only,,,

I think the Volvo's might be the same fans as the windstars. I would get the windstars and e done I think I paid like $40 for mine if that. They come with a shroud they basically bolt in with two brackets. I rarely have to run both fans the one cools well enough.

I've used duel fans from a mid '90s camaro for years, but they were a little smaller than I would have liked (12" each) and the shroud didn't completely cover the radiator. worked pretty well, but would occasionally get a little hot in 100 degree + weather.

I just picked up a set of windstar fans for $30 that I'm going to swap in. much bigger shroud and fans (13" and 15") so I'm expecting it to work a lot better.
