anyone know the best fitting header brands out there? I don't want any issues with the fit as I have seen so many with fitting issues. Like oil filter clearance, frame clearance ext.

Thanks

my ceramic coated Dynomax's don't fit right and the coating didn't last. the flange is right where the lower shackle bolt is. They sure were cheap though. go figure.:doah:

yeah i got a really cheap set of dynomax headers, they just barely clear the oil filter, rub my front shaft a little and the shackle bolt was a pain to get to when i did my lift... so don't get those... lol

Do a search on "headers" and you will get a ton of info. I went with ceramic Doug's Headers (Doug Thorley). You will find it is rare to get a set that doesn't touch anything unless your rig is bone stock. My headers hit the rear shackle because I had swapped in a set of thick ORD hangers. I had to bend them over away from the bolt and cut the bolt off at the nut. Here are a couple of threads for you:

Maybe consider a set of 3/4 length Chevelle / Nova / F-body headers. They are much better for clearance than the long tubes are, but are still fairly long, not like the block hugging shorties.

When I eventually run my duals, I'll be using a set of them for sure.
