re-sealing my 86 350. who makes good gaskets and anyone found a set of header to cylinder head gaskets that dont burn up and last awhile? i had those aluminum ones that when they burn out you tighten the bolts and it re seals them but its hard to reseal when the burn all to hell. and where can you get header collecter to exaust gaskets?

I've always used Felpro for engine gaskets/seals. As for the headers, I've had the best luck with the copper gaskets. Had some on my old burb and they lasted better then 4 yrs without replacing.

I used stock Fel-Pro *manifold* exhaust gaskets on mine, and they have been there for at least 4 years with no leaks. These are the metal faced/dimpled looking ones that come as 3 pieces per side...2 for the front/rear cylinders, one for the center two.

Mating flange thickness is probably a part of how well they seal and stay sealed.

SCE and cometic head gaskets are good. felpro gaskets are good gaskets as well. flatout is a new company and im unsure on how good they are. percys makes really good headers gaskets as does flowtech i believe

The VERY best Gasket to buy is one that does not leak :wink1:. :haha:
