Hmm, uniroyal laredos on snow = change of pants needed. (Only time I have ever lost control in a car, my 1990 Jimmy 2nd week I had had it, first snow storm of the year. I was going up a hill, and I knew there would be a stop on the other side going down. I started slowing down (from 20MPH) going UP the hill, and still wildly slid through the stop sign!!!)
Peerless Force 4 A/Ts = only slightly better.
Both on Jimmy, and and the peerless came from my K5.

The BFG's were on a 1998 Silverado extended cab short bed. Maybe it's the nature of the beast?

Supposedly all three sets were 31x10's, but the laredo's look smaller. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I had Chapparal A/Ts on my K5. They were a lot like a PJ tire, but a really hard compound. Wet roads was somewhat of a fight for traction, Snow was great as long as I kept her in 4 wheel. I love driving in winter cause no one else does. Think I may just see if I can get a deal on some 35 BFG MTs a Ck5er has. Cheap may have to outweigh snow functionality. That and I am not sure I want A/Ts on even my daily driver /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
