im sitting on 10" of lift right now with 38.5 boggers. im upgrading to 44" boggers, so im going to be lookin to get a couple more inches of lift. im thinkin 2 more inches should give me enough clearance, giving me a foot of lift. i already have 6" springs (front), 1" zero rates, and a 3 body lift (and blocks/add-a-leafs in the rear). what would be the best bang for the buck to get me and extra 2-3" of lift? i can do a shackle flip in the rear with some longer shackles and downsize to maybe a 2" block instead of the 4" that i have now. but as for the front, would it be ok to maybe make different shackle mounts and longer shackles to get the extra lift? btw, i think i want to go 2" in the front and 3" in the rear to even the stance alittle..

I think you will be needing more than 2'' more lift. You are going up 6'' in tire size but only 2'' in lift? Some major trimming might do the trick. Most people running 44's have about 15'' of lift total without trimming.

well i have alot of room with the 38.5's on it now. i could easilly fit 40's under it how it sits now. keep in mind, its mostly a street truck and wont be flexing at all. also, trimming is out of the question. ive seen people on here running 44's with 12" already. look in the "how will my k5 look with XX lift" thread

Only 3" of that tire is above the axle.

True, but any flex will use up any room left over i am sure. I can bury my 35's into my fenders with 6'' lift, if i added 6'' more (12'' lift) and 4.5'' of tire on top (44's) then i only have 1.5'' more room and that is at the top of the wheelwell, the corners are still way to close.

id really ditch the blocks in the rear all together if you can

i am, thats why i said i want to do a 4" shackle flip in the rear to eliminate the blocks, but i might end up using a 2" block to clear the 44's, which im happier with vs. the 4" blocks.

BUILTIT, like i said, its a street truck so it wont flex anymore than anything else on the road does. im not interested in flexing, my springs are WAY to stiff anyway. i just like big trucks with big tires :D
