At the time I wanted either Typhoons or Scorpio V's when I bought my rims and 4wheelparts could only find one set of 16.5x14 Scorpio V's in the country. Weld is goofy, they produce a lot of wheels for a while and quit for some reason. I bought mine during a wheel "droubt" and there was only one set left at all the stores. I am probably going to go with Super singles (pictured) on my Dodge Cummins but I'm looking to buy used so I will take basically any design as long as it's a super single series wheel.ryoken said:they get my vote for any musclecar, anyday, hands down...![]()
why'd you go with your directionals on the K5, as opposed to those?

I can top that, I was in my local 4wheelparts store one time when they said every weld rim on the display rack was for sale for $25 per rim!ryoken said:i know![]()
the singles should be sweet on the tow rig..![]()
my 2 front draglites for the Chevelle where purchased used... lucked across them at the swap meet... $100 for the pair was much more pallatable than the new rears i bought...![]()

They're display rack was HUGE too! I almost bought two identical 16.5x12 scorps because I was about to do my 3/4 conversion but read they were for the new FORD SD. I did however buy two identical 15x10 6 lug typhoons that I later sold to K5James and one 15x12 Sidewinder that still has the price tag for $249 on it, that I still have and would like to sell.
tho the new rules and fees have made the bay much lamer these days...Yes and no. There werent any rims that I wanted for my K5 at the time on the display since I wanted 14's and it did take me over a year to finally find someone that wanted my two typhoons.ryoken said:and yeah, thats one of those smoking deals where ya wish ya had a grand floating around for an investment... definitely make some money on that..
