This might be a fun thread. List your best mods / worst mods. And why.

Best:
LockRights and rear discs (tie)
LockRights offer superior traction for the money (I paid $474 for the two at the time, now they're down to $400).
Rear discs offer ultimate stopping power, keep your shaft in if you break a c-clip, and don't clog up with mud.

Worst:
Shackle flip. Pointed my pinion up really high, smokes universal joints regularly, causes wicked wheelhop, and the leaves break pretty easy. Not something for a daily driver.

Best mods:Swampers, Ford 57's, Ditching the AT for a SM465, Ditching the 203's (8 of the bastards) for a 205, cage was a GREAT MOD, and hopefully I will find out soon about the reversed high steer and the 52's, and the D60/D70 and 4.56 gears!!

Worst Mods: The green paint my drunk friend sprayed on the hood/fenders (flames?), putting in a CD player instead of just a tape deck, and rolling the Bitch was definetly a poor mod!

Best mod, swapping a 6.0/4l80e with a zo6 cam headers and duals with an h-pipe.

Worst mod, spending way to much money on the engine instead of a dana 60/14 bolt. or not doing a valve job on the heads while getting new cam. or the fact that the engine tranny combo swap is my first mod
yeah, remote coolers/filters for the tranny, oil is next. and pics are coming soon. I will try tomorrow morning when I take her for a spin.

Best mod, getting rid of 7" of lift and going back to factory springs.

Worst mod, that damn camoflauge paint.

best mods:

Az-kickin anti wrap bar. I love that thing, especially when I hit it hard. I have 57's and haven't bent one yet.

Roll cage...and full 'vert conversion. Just too cool, plus I don't feel so vulnerable with that much cage wrapped around me.

The whole drivetrain. 6.2, SM465, 60/14 with 4.56's...it just works really well together and gets good fuel mileage.

Worst mods:

welded 14...ate tires and eventually cracked the spiders and side gears.

flat black paint job...blech.

rock slider (only have 1 in /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif)

worst mods
not having the correct shocks for the lift (only 3" uptravel with borrowed shocks in front and 2" down travel in rear)
not regearing after tires (money, still working on that)
3" blocks (4" springs, looks like im hauling a load ALL the time)

Best- Disc brakes, new master, and 3/4 ton booster! SH!T stops now!

Worst- not a bad mod yet. the ugly beast is getting tighter and tighter - meaner and meaner as the the money gets POURED in. I'm up to 8G now. I think that i'm done for a while (until tomarrow)

Best mod, solid drivetrain from the radiator to the rearend.
Tinted windows for sure, fixing the A/C.

Worst mod, not keeping all the old smog equipment( /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I know) so I could easely get tags. Body lift.

Best mods: 44's, 64" rear springs, shackle flip, BDS front springs, hydro assist, swapping from a 700R4 to a SM465, swapping out the 241 for a 205, 5.13 gears, welded rear, headers, 12,000lb. winch, D60 front axle, cross over steering.

Worst mods: Spending all my money on parts, building it for over a year and never driving it once. Changing suspension setups 3 times without using any of them on the trail! Well........

My best has to be the 3/4 ton axles, the rear disc brakes, & the 6" TC lift.

My worst has to be the 35x17.50x15 Mickeys! I'm sure glad I got 'em cheap! And keeping my 305..........
