Best paint for hard top

I want to put a new coat of paint on my hard top. The top is in pretty good shape, but it's a bit scratched up. I just want to throw on a quick coat of flat black (that's the color it is now). What's the best type of primer and paint for this?

I'm painting mine with rustoleum high performance enamel. You can buy it at walmart or home improvement stores. It's around $25 a gallon.
