It's time to do some rust repair on my '71 Jimmy, where do you guys recommend getting patch panels, specifically both rocker panels and floor pans.

Thanks

I ordered my rockers and floor pans from Mill Supply. The rockers were ok, but the pans looked like they were run over by a forklift. They exchanged them for me no problem, but I wasn't too impressed with the second set either. Took a lot of pounding to get them looking decent. Probably going to order from TABCO direct for the radiator support and battery holder, just to give them a try.

I ordered ALOT of metal for my blazer and i bought most of it from LMC, i also ordered some pieces from TRI-PRO. I have a friend who ordered some stuff from JC-Whitney too.

Some people will tell you LMC sucks, some will tell you Tri-Pro sucks, etc...Here is a secret...The parts are all the exact same. I ordered rocker panels from both LMC and Tri-Pro and got the exact same parts made by the exact same company.

It all depends on that persons luck dealing with the company. Almost all of my stuff from LMC looked good, only thing that kinda sucked were the floorpans, they were wrinkled.

But LMC and Tri-Pro are not bad, probably the best places IMO. Tri-Pro took forever to get the part shipped and delivered which was wierd since they are only about 6 hours away and LMC ships from the west coast and they took half the time.

yup, it's all stamped in Taiwan as far as I know......

I oredered 4 different brands of aftermarket rockers. Once the original rockers were removed, NONE of them would fit properly, or even close. I broke down and ordered GM rockers and they both fit great. Now I have a box with 8 unused (and completely useless) aftermarket rockers. So, IMO if want a good fit with right gaps, go GM for the rockers. I ordered everything else from LMC & Goodmark. The Goodmark door I paid $300 for is also a giant piece of crap. It would not fit (not even close)even before the first cut was made on an all factory rig. I found an original GM door and it fit perfectly. So doors, I still do not know, maybe I just got a bad mold. As far as other panels, none of them were very great at appearence or fit until being messaged and manipulated. Bottom line, probably any make you choose is going to take time and work to get to fit right, and to not end up with a hack looking job. Just my .02......
