I have been looking for a affordable cross over steering kit I have found them for around $550 from wfo concepts thats with the knuckle.

is there any that are cheaper?

ya that is pretty cheap i was hoping to find one with a knuckle included.
But if I can find a cheap knuckle here in town it will work.

thnx for that link! as far as i can tell it seems the most affordable/best way to go will be purchasing a steering arm and pitman arm from "WFO" concepts, buy a used steering box, slam a re-seal kit in it (if yer handy) and build a drag link from a mid eighties k5/jimmy.... or purchase one if you want/need the "z" pattern.. let me know if you still need a flat top i know a fella that sells em milled, drilled and tapped for $150.00 plus shipping. :)

I've been doing a lot of searching on this subject to try and figure out what I'd like to do too. It seems that a lot of people either run the Sky kit or the ORD kit. I've read a ton of the threads on this subject and the only differences that I've been able to come up with is the customer services associated with the companies. I'm leaning toward the sky one (for hi-steer $675) just based on the price since ORD is $800. I've seen good things and people happy with both of the kits. I don't think that most of the kits actually come with the knuckles. From my searching, it looks like that would have to be something you buy seperately. If anyone has any input as to why you would use ORD over Sky, that aren't because of customer service, I'm sure we'd all appreciate it.

Is there a way to notch the cross member so that i dont have to move it?

supposedly.... i talked to the cat that runs "shakerbuilt" and according to him if you plan on running a straight drag link with a mild lift you will have to "shave the half inch lip off the front of your cross member and it works"... i'm assuming he knows his stuff but i wouldnt aproach this type of work without expecting the worst case scenario.. i.e. clearence/fitment issues.

happy head scratching! ;)
