just wondering what the best upgrades would be for my truck....i just put in my Jegs/Hypertech/K&N induction kit, and on saturday morning i am getting a new dual catback exhaust put in with MudFrogs high flow cat and Flowmaster Super 40 muffler.....what else can i do that will be not real real expensive and will be worth the install??????

rear locker?

headlight relay mod, dual batteries...

let me know how those cats and super 40s are, im wanting to do the same exact thing!!

what do you want to do with your truck? That seems to be the 600 pound gorilla in this "room" that no one is addressing....

If you are looking for horsepower, look into a cam and head swap....

Then, chip mods will be in order....

I was also going to suggest a cam, because power per dollar (if you don't place a value on your own labor time to do the installation), a cam is very hard to top as an upgrade. However, for any reasonably fiesty cam, he'd have to reprog the chip, as you pointed out, but much worse than that, he lives in Massachussetts (land of brutal smog tests).

aww come one anyone???:D

still waiting to hear from you what you plan to do with the truck. I mean, if the goal is bling, 22" rims might be the best upgrade... if you want to race, a 502 might be the best... if you're gonna wheel the snot out of it, a D60 or rockwells might be the best. No real way to give advice on this thread without stated goals in mind.

exactly, what are you tryin to do? be loud, beat your friends, congquer mountains, impress the ladies, star in a rape video, be nekkid...

When rebuilding my 350 i installed a comp extreme energy 262 cam. Now it has great off idle torque and has awesome throttle response, not to mention that it pulls hard from idle to 6000 rpm's. It also had no adverse effect on the computer. It does have a noticeable idle which is further helped by the flowmasters and turndowns.

what i want to do is have a little power, be able to hit a few trails (not too much though) a little mud, and still be good as a DD as i`m only 16 going on 17 in a couple weeks....sorry for leaving the most important part out:D

I'd look into a TBI spacer. on the Show Two Guys Garage, they put a Trans Dapt Performance Swirl Torque spacer on their 92 305 and in produced more power you'd think. If you do a TBI spacer, then you need to get the fuel line extenders with it.

I am about to put an intake and 2 inch carb spacer on my carbed 305. I got the Trans Dapt Swirl Torque, I will put it in soon and we will see how it does.

Also Edelbrock has intake manifolds for TBI and are emissions legal.

Edelbrock also makes shroty headers that are a direct bolt in that have all the O2 sensors and all the other fittings on them. The only problem is that they are expensive, but they are a quality piece.
Also make sure you do all you engine/exhaust upgrades before you put a chip in it.

I recomend hopping on Summit Racing web site and see what they offer for your Blazer.
